Online therapy is exactly the same as the therapy you would receive in-person, only we will meet via video-link online via Google Meet, Zoom, Skype, WhatsApp video or any other platform you may prefer.
Online therapy is just as effective as when in person, it is simply an alternative way of accessing counselling. There may be times when circumstances prevent face to face appointments, such as Covid-19, but also if you don't live nearby, or you can't make it to a session due to a car issue for example. Going online makes therapy possible for more people, more of the time.
All I would ask is that you find a quiet, private space to talk during our online session where you will not be interrupted or overheard.
If you're unsure about any aspect of therapy online, I would be happy to talk to you about it and help you get set up if necessary.
I adhere to the BACP Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy. Just like face to face sessions, I am fully committed to your emotional wellbeing.
