(Walking therapy currently unavailable)
Walk and talk therapy can be "...more dynamic than a traditional indoor session. If you've felt stuck in therapy in the past, being physically active helps release some tensions and stimulates new thoughts and ideas. It is a metaphor for moving forward" (taken from counsellingdirectory.org)
It is a well known fact that fresh air and exercise is good for you, and that walking regularly is an excellent way to maintain or improve good
physical and mental health.
Therapy walks (or walk and talk therapy) will benefit you physically, but the focus is not about exercise. The main reasoning behind it is the same as a counselling session indoors. You will be at the heart of what we talk about.
Simply put, it will be a therapy session, outdoors.
I can suggest a route, but am open to looking at alternatives. The walking can be as slow or fast paced as you like, as long as I can keep up with you!
